·          Project manage scheduling and implementation of NDOs. Implement long distance translations on the XO’s switches (NORTEL DMS-250) nationwide, including building and maintaining all related trunking tables in the switches.

·          Create Network Design Orders (NDO-CDRs) for the XO Communications Long Distance network, including detailed routing schemes for FGDs, IMTs, LECs, IXCs, and International Carriers at each NEXTLINK market and the nationwide inter-regional network via back end system developed by me. After completion, network savings of over 1 million dollars per month per switch (52 switches in network) and continued to grow with monthly updates. Coordinate translation implementation activities with site switch managers and technicians. Maintain detailed and accurate record of all changes. Take a leadership role in defining requirements, specification design, and overseeing the development of an automated route design tool and translations system. Interface with BellCore’s LERG (Telcordia Technologies) to obtain and manipulate the information available related to number assignments and the North American Dial Plan and International Dial Plan. Create initial routing designs for new switch launches and communicate details to internal groups and external vendors for implementation.

·          Design routing rules and tiered scheme for national IMT network. Provide translations support for new circuit orders originating from the National Network Traffic Engineering group through methodologies developed in MS Access. The MS Access system was developed by me utilizing tables, queries and SQL development. This system was to be an interim fix while XO researched and purchased a system to do this work. It is to this day, still being used to create, implement and analyze data to and from network switches across the company’s network nationally. Perform traffic and routing verifications for newly implemented routes. Worked as a liaison to track Long Distance carrier rates to be utilized as backup for our network. Working with the LECs, CLECs and RBOCs to create a stable network nationally was just one of the major efforts on my part.
